This organically grown fresh turmeric has a vivid orange colour with an earthy, peppery flavour reminiscent of citrus fruits. It packs more flavour than the ground product.
Use to flavour juices, soups, curries, dals and chutneys.
Scrape off the skin before use. As a rough guide, 1 inch of fresh turmeric (or 1 tablespoon freshly grated) equals 1 teaspoon ground turmeric.
To store keep refrigerated in a sealed container.
